We come from different parts of the county. Some of us are involved with organizing rural residents and others are more involved in the business end of agriculture and rural life. But we all agree on one thing: the Employee Free Choice Act is good for the rural economy.

Why are we speaking up now?

As if the fear mongering from Big Business weren’t enough, there are some Senators and Representatives saying that we just can’t afford the Employee Free Choice Act in our current economic mess. We say that our struggling economy is exactly why we do need the Employee Free Choice Act. We need to get serious about middle-class wages now so that people are able to pay fair prices for what we grow and raise in rural America.

The Employee Free Choice Act is a good start.
